A strikingly vivid moth, recorded only once from the Lodge. There are two other, un-named, species in this genus in Mariposas del Ecuador, but one has all-dark hindwings (the individual in the photo has white centres to the hindwings, but they are not visible in the picture) and the other has brown outer edges to the forewings.
