Fruit feeders

Early in 2005 we started putting out fruit to feed the tanagers and other birds that were passing by the balcony. Blue-winged Mountain-Tanagers were the first to take advantage of the bananas, and over the following months other species learned that they could get an easy meal outside the lounge windows. At lunchtimes most human diners are now treated to amazing views of birds as they tuck in to fruit.
