Purple-bibbed White-tip
Chocó Endemic

Adult males are easily recognised by the white spot at the end of their tail. Both sexes have a rectangular white spot behind the eye, much longer than that of other hummers. Females are speckled green below and do not have a white tail spot. Immature males also lack the white tail spot. Female Booted Racket-tails are similar but smaller, without the dense speckling on the throat, and with obvious white boots.
