Speckled Hummingbird    
 

An uncommon visitor to the feeders, more common along roads in the Valley. This is a distinctive hummer, with a dark ear mask and speckling on the breast and throat. Do not let the mask confuse you into thinking you are looking at a hermit! Female Western Emeralds have a similar face pattern, but they are plain gray below, not speckled.
