26 February: Dark morph Plain-breasted Hawk and 2 Golden-rumped Euphonias seen from the lower deck. White-tipped Swifts over the lodge. Little Woodstar at the feeders.

25 February: Ochre-breasted Antpitta sighted near junction of Antpitta and Nunbird Trails. Dark-backed Wood-Quail seen on the Potoo Trail. Toucan Barbet present at junction Antpitta and Potoo Trails.

24 February: White-throated Quail-Dove on Potoo Trail.

22 February: Black-and-chestnut Eagles observed constructed a nest in the lower valley.

21 February: 2 Rose-breasted Grosbeaks at the lower deck.

19 February: Uniform Antshrike, Western Hemispingus, Golden-winged Manakin, and Long-tailed Antbird on the upper Antpitta Trail. Gorgeted Sunangel at the feeders.

17 February: Little and White-bellied Woodstars and White-necked Jacobin at the feeders. Sickle-winged Guan on the trail to the hide.

11 February: Tawny-breasted Flycatcher and 3 Andean Cocks-of-the-Rock on the lower driveway. Glossy-black Thrush at the overlook near the hide. A confused Black-crested Warbler somehow got into the bathroom of one of the rooms!

10 February: Black-and-white Warbler near the lodge. Gorgeted Sunangel at the feeders.

3 February: Rufous-breasted Antthrush seen on the Potoo Trail.  White-rumped Hawk  perched near the overlook by the hide.  2 Powerful Woodpeckers roosting on Tanager Trail.  Gorgeted Sunangel at the lodge feeders.

2 February: Streak-capped Treehunter seen around lodge.  Big mixed flock on Tanager Trail had Red-headed Barbets, Tricolored Brush-Finches, Ashy-headed Tyrannulet, Black-capped and Golden Tanagers, Canada Warbler, Smoky-brown Woodpecker, and White-winged and Barred Becards.

31 January: Hoary Puffleg continues.

25 January: Hoary Puffleg continues at the feeders.  Scaled Antpitta now contains two nestlings.

22 January: Hoary Puffleg continues at the feeders along with Green-crowned Woodnymph, Gorgeted Sunangel, Brown Violet-ear, 3+ Empress Brilliants, and 2+ Sparkling Violet-ears.  Scaled Antpitta nest still active, at least one egg has hatched.

11 January: Hoary Puffleg visiting the feeders! 

9 January: Scaled Antpitta found nesting on the Potoo Trail.

8 January: Sickle-winged Guan near the lodge.

7 January 2008: 1 pair Immaculate Antbirds, 2-3 Spotted Barbtails, Plain Antvireo, Masked Trogon, White-tipped Dove, and Russet-crowned and Three-striped Warblers visiting the hide in the first hour after sunrise.

Little Woodstar female and Speckled Hummingbird at the feeders.  Oliveceous Piha and Buff-throated Foliage-gleaner on the back side of the Antpitta trail.  Ashy-headed and Rufous-winged Tyrannulets in mixed flock near the lodge.  Golden-headed Quetzal  on the Tanager Trail.  Wedge-billed Hummingbird singing at the back junction of the Potoo and Antpitta Trails.  Dark-backed Wood-Quail seen on the Potoo Trail.

31 December 2007: Moustached Antpitta nest near the hide fledges.
