Lodging only (rates are in US dollars and include three meals and all taxes):
Single room (1 person): $109 per night
Twin or double room (2 people): $185 per night
Triple room (3 people): $266 per night
Family room (2 adults & 1 child): $218 per night
Twin or double rooms have one double bed, a double bed and a single, or two single beds. The family room has a double bed and two bunks. The triple room has three single beds or one double bed and one single bed.
Access to the lodge is along a concrete walkway with stairs, and it may not be accessible for people with limited mobility. Staff will carry all of your luggage to and from the lodge.
These rates do not include guiding or transport. Please scroll down for more info. Keep in mind: Bird guides are in high demand - if you want a bird guide, please book well in advance of your trip.

Guiding:
We encourage you to book one of the birding packages below. If this is not feasible with your schedule, please contact us about availability and cost of a guide for some or all of your stay.
Birding Tour Packages:
These are private tours with your own expert bird guide and need to be booked well in advance - it is unlikely that guides will be available at the last minute. These are totally customizable - if you have particular birds that you would like to see or sites you want to visit, just let us know and we will make it happen. Longer trips are also available upon request.
3 days/2 nights:
Day 1: 5:30am pickup from your hotel in Quito. Birding at Yanacocha and the Nono-Mindo ecoroute with a packed lunch. Night in Tandayapa Bird Lodge.
Day 2: Full day birding in the Tandayapa Valley. You can have lunch at the lodge or take a packed lunch. Night in Tandayapa Bird Lodge.
Day 3: Most of the day birding in the Milpe Bird Sanctuary with a packed lunch. Optional visit to the Mirador Rio Blanco tanager feeders ($3 extra per person). Afternoon return to Quito, arriving around 6pm at your hotel.
